Built-InsCabinet installation, islands, pantry storage, open shelving, and custom kitchen details built to fit the room and the way it is used.
A good kitchen has to hold up to daily use. Doors, drawers, islands, storage, trim, and panels all need to work together so the room feels clean and practical.
What we build
Supplier cabinetry set, leveled, scribed to the walls, and trimmed in so it looks like part of the house — not boxes pushed against a wall.
Painted or stained cabinetry built to the dimensions and use of the space.
Work islands, seating islands, and storage pieces sized for the room rather than a catalog layout.
Tall storage, pantry zones, drawer banks, appliance garages, and other daily-use storage.
Solid wood or paint-grade shelving planned for proper backing and secure installation.
Crown, toe kicks, light rail, panels, and other details that help the kitchen feel complete.

How a kitchen project goes
We start by walking the room with you. What's working, what's not, what you're using the kitchen for, what the constraints are. Then we work out a clear scope and a written estimate — not a vague range, an actual number.
From there, the next steps are design refinement, ordering when supplier cabinetry is involved, and scheduling the installation. You should know the plan before work begins and hear early if timing or scope needs to shift.
Materials
Built from poplar, MDF, or maple. White, off-white, soft greens and blues, deep navy, black — whatever finish color works for the room. The grain is smoothed and primed so the final surface reads as continuous painted cabinetry rather than visible wood.
Best for: Most modern, transitional, and traditional kitchens. Two-tone kitchens (painted perimeter, stained island). Anywhere color is doing the heavy visual lifting.
Built from solid hardwood — oak, walnut, cherry, maple, hickory. Every grain pattern is visible after finishing, so the boards have to be planned for grain direction, color match, and how light hits the cabinetry through the day.
Best for: Craftsman, lodge, mid-century, and traditional warm kitchens. Islands as a stained accent against painted perimeter cabinetry. Anywhere the wood itself is the visual.
Kitchen FAQs
Both, and most projects are somewhere in between. A common pattern is pre-built boxes from a cabinet supplier paired with custom face frames, a custom island, and on-site trim work. We'll talk through what makes sense for your kitchen and your budget.
It depends on size, materials, layout complexity, and finish level. A 12-foot run of installed pre-built cabinetry is a very different number than a fully custom kitchen with a 10-foot island and integrated paneled appliances. We give a clear written estimate after walking the space.
A straightforward install of pre-built cabinetry is usually about a week of on-site work. A fully custom kitchen with on-site builds, islands, paneled appliances, and full trim integration typically runs several weeks. We give you a real schedule before we start, not an optimistic one.
Yes. We work directly with homeowners and also with kitchen designers, interior designers, and GCs across West Michigan. If you've got drawings already, we can build to them. If you don't, we'll work it out with you.
Countertops are subbed to a stone or solid-surface fabricator after the cabinetry is in. Plumbing and electrical are handled by licensed pros — either yours or ones we coordinate with regularly. We focus on what we do well and partner with people who do the rest well.
