Finish carpentry in Grand Haven and Spring Lake.

A short drive south of our Norton Shores base. Grand Haven, Spring Lake, and Ferrysburg are part of the regular West Michigan service rotation — lakefront homes, second homes, and the older downtown houses that reward careful finish work.

Lakeshore Corridor

About fifteen minutes from our shop.

The Grand Haven and Spring Lake corridor is one of our most consistent territories outside of Muskegon County. Project visits typically take 20–30 minutes from the Norton Shores shop, which makes both in-progress site checks and final walk-throughs straightforward.

A lot of our work in this area is built-ins and trim for lake-adjacent homes — window seats facing the water, libraries and reading walls, mantels and surrounds for the fireplaces that anchor lake-house living rooms. Newer construction along Lakeshore Drive and out toward Robinson Township sees more full custom kitchens.

Lakefront Considerations

Built for how lakefront homes actually live.

Lakefront and lake-adjacent homes see bigger humidity swings, sand and grit tracked through entry points, and seasonal use patterns where the house sits unoccupied for stretches. The cabinetry and trim have to handle all of it and still look right.

Downtown Grand Haven's older streets — Washington Avenue, Clinton Street, and the residential blocks above the river — have homes from the late 1800s and early 1900s with original profiles worth preserving. We pick up existing details rather than overwriting them.

Local FAQ

Working in Grand Haven and Spring Lake.

Do you do lakefront finish carpentry on the Grand River and Lake Michigan?

Yes. Lakefront projects on the Grand River, Spring Lake, and the Lake Michigan shoreline are a regular part of the work. Window seats, libraries, mantels, and full custom kitchens make up most of what we do for these homes.

Can you match the trim in an older downtown Grand Haven home?

Yes. Many homes in downtown Grand Haven and along Clinton Street have original early-1900s trim profiles. We pick up profiles by tracing existing pieces, then source matching stock or build it up from off-the-shelf pieces.

How is scheduling for projects 15–20 minutes from your shop?

Grand Haven and Spring Lake are close enough that in-progress site checks and final walk-throughs are easy to coordinate. Most active projects get a same-week visit when something needs to be reviewed in person.

Do you work with builders and remodelers in the area?

Yes. We coordinate with several West Michigan builders, remodelers, and interior designers on the Lakeshore. If your project is being run through a general contractor, we can plug into their schedule and scope.
